Shangri-La Colombo

Very spacious and yet inviting ambience in the lobby and bar/restaurant areas. Good options for dining and an excellent cocktail bar with some live music. Gym was spacious and had most things you will need including a small studio area and two TRX anchors. Really well appointed room...King, ocean view. Extremely comfortable bed and wonderful pillows and linen. Huge variety of food options for breakfast, brunch and dinner at the Central Cafe, and a welcoming and pleasant environment to eat. Can be very busy Friday and Saturday nights as lots of locals book. So be mindful to let the hotel know if you are staying in to eat. Other restaurant options in the hotel look exceptional. Only stayed one night but am sure the spa and pool must be wonderful! All the staff were extremely kind and attentive, clearly focused on customer experience.

We’ve traveled all around the world and stayed in many types of accommodations, but none compare to the Shangri-La. The hotel and its staff exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and genuine smiles everywhere we went. Every need or question we had was addressed promptly and thoughtfully. The hotel itself is stunning, but it’s truly the staff who made our stay unforgettable. They even provided a surprise in our room for our anniversary. The location is ideal, with a mall conveniently adjacent to the hotel and both the Colombo Port and beach within walking distance. My wife enjoyed an incredible massage, and I made full use of the excellent gym facilities. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Stayed here for four nights mid July and we had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is as expected from a Shangri-la five star. The adjoining mall is great to spend some time. Location is perfect can't go for walk in evenings on the promenade. The breakfast buffet is very extensive, really a brunch. We enjoyed all the food dishes from whichever station we tried. There's a chaiwala who goes around serving chai which was awesome. The staff at the hotel are their main asset, always eager to assist with a huge smile providing excellent service and reflect the best of Sri Lankan hospitality. Can’t wait to return!

Great location. Across from Galle Face Park and coastal walk, internal entrance to Galle Face Mall which offers food and many shopping options. Pool facilities and Spa on L4 fabulous. Water and fruit nibbles offered at pool free to assist with hydration on very hot days was a lovely touch. Attentive, helpful and very friendly staff throughout the hotel. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Little things like our Towels being refreshed twice on our first day as we had arrived early and showered on arrival. We had an incredible one-night stay at Shangri-La Colombo with bed and breakfast included. The facilities were outstanding—pool, jacuzzi, and sauna all added to the relaxing experience. The hotel staff went above and beyond by decorating our room for my wife’s birthday and surprising us with a small chocolate cake. She truly enjoyed the thoughtful gesture. We stayed in the Premier Ocean View Room, which offered stunning views and exceptional comfort. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. A special thanks to Mr. Rasika, the supervisor, who took excellent care of us throughout our meals—his attention to detail made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
